After a long work meeting this past Tuesday, I checked my email to see that my blog had its first comment! I thought, “Holy cow, I just started this thing, how are people discovering me!?” And then the comments started pouring in. And the followers. I was mystified. After some investigation, I learned about this thing called Freshly Pressed. And my first shoemaking post was featured! Horray!

But this is all out of order. I haven’t finished my About page. I’m still fudging with the template. I haven’t told my friends about this blog. I’m shocked at how long blogging takes – is this something I want to commit to?
