In January I participated in a fabric painting workshop at the Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn. It was a frigid cold weekend and perfect for spending 16 hours indoors with muslin, Tinfix, and good conversation. The class was taught by the lovely Naomi of Fort Makers – her quilt paintings are amazing! We spent Saturday exploring with several different kinds of paint creating small studies, and on Sunday I painted a few designs on a larger scale. Someday I’ll turn these pieces into a quilt.
